You receive a three-page terms document as a PDF and need to change two clauses. Convert it, fix the paragraphs in Word, and send it back. A signed scan of the same document would first need OCR, because it has no text to read.

pdf.js reads each page in this tab and reports every piece of text with its position. The tool groups pieces on the same baseline into lines, merges lines into paragraphs by their spacing, and treats clearly larger text as a heading. The docx library then writes those paragraphs into a Word file. Nothing is sent anywhere. Because only text and its size are read, images, vector drawings, tables and columns are not part of the output.

• Layout is not kept. Multi-column pages are read line by line across the page, so columns can interleave.
• Tables become plain paragraphs and images are dropped.
• Scanned PDFs have no text layer. Run OCR PDF first, then convert the searchable result.
• Fonts, colors, bold and italic are not carried over. Only headings are bold and sized.
